Minister Detra Fay Scott

Life Legacy

Minister Detra Fay Scott, the daughter of George and Fannie Mae Scott, was the second child born on August 31, 1968 in Lee, County Mississippi.
She was reared in Belden, Mississippi where she spend her childhood, later the family moved to Tupelo, Mississippi, this is where Detra attended Verona Junior High and Shannon High School.
She professed her hope in Christ at an early age and united with Chapel Grove Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Dr. G.T. Howell, later joining the membership of Davis Temple under the leadership of Elder Levora Davis. On March 25, 2011, Detra was ordain as a minister in the city of Columbus, Mississippi with Breakthrough Restoration Intenational Ministries.
Detra was a loving daughter and sister, who enjoyed singing, cooking, traveling, missionary work, writing poems and she was a great speaker. She enjoyed most was serving, serving people in their time of need.
She peacefully and quietly passed from this earthly life into eternal life on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the North Mississippi Medical Center, with her family surrounding her.

Scott, five uncles; Theotis (Georgia) Scott, Fred (Linda) Scott, Archie (Kim) Scott, David (Abby) Scott, Donald Scott, nine aunts; Betty McKinney, Ruth Ella (Eddie) Guyton, Annie (Charles) Copeland, Brenda Robinson, Debra (James) Tuggers, Itassa Scott, Betty (Rickey) Tucker, Virgina Tucker, Hattie Pearl Jones, one nephew; Kelsey Scott, three nieces; Daneel Scott, Cameron Scott, Jalynn Scott, Kaira Scott, a special cousin that was reared as a sister; Denise Jeans and a host of great aunts, great uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving mother; Fannie Mae Scott.
